Hello! I'm a DJ, music lover and record collector based in Oslo, Norway.
I'm deeply in love with the contemporary sounds and the wandering heartbeat of 4/4’s most bold, valiant and versatile character. I started mixing records back in 1989. To many I'm probably best known for my pioneer work within Deep House, but my DJ-sets travels from both old and new disco on one side — to more tech club sounds on the other.
I also love and like to add many disparate influences including jazz, experimental pop, soul and various ethnic sounds.
As a child I played the violin for years, and from there I crossed over to hip-hop, funk, disco and record mixing. I had my first DJ-gig in the tender age of 13 and after being resident at the youth club for 2 years, a booking agency discovered me at the age of 15.
I then made my first step over in the professional game and I for sure grew up fast. A couple of years later I was fully booked with gigs spreading all over.
"In 1993 I got into house music and did my first parties. That was also the year of my first appearance abroad, in New York."
During the 90's I was living my dream as a music professional, making people dance, travelling, living out of hotels and making a living of what I love the most. After being constant on the road for year’s non-stop, I took a time-out in the late 90's. I then started to working in media and I did a local concept night on monthly basis.
From 2003 I got back into the loop with weekly gigs, and I have held residencies in several legendary Oslo clubs such as Cosmo, Rexx, Neon and GoldenRoom. I started travelling again, and had my peak with 150 gigs a year, and periods of up to 5 gigs per week in 2009.
Time to 'name drop' some; I once proudly brought the first official Ministry of Sound, Om Records and Studio 54 parties to Norway. I've also been doing shows at Festivals, performing on -- and hosting several live radio shows, done gigs like Nordic Music Awards, Oslo Live Festival, Oslo Fashion Week and various events for leading music and lifestyle magazines and so on.
"It has truly been a pleasure to be able to make people dance in all these various kind of gatherings."
I've now limited my DJ performances to a few exclusive feelgood gigs, due to a busy schedule in my new digital media and visual arts career. Since I no longer make my living off touring and the nightlife, I use the possibility to develop my great passion for music on other levels as well.
I have recently started to play around with my own 'low key' music project — and love it!
It has truly been a pleasure to be able to make people dance in all these various kind of gatherings; from local bars, events, clubs, to illegal warehouse parties in London, beaches in Casablanca – onto glossy venues like Nikki Beach in Miami.
I'm so grateful for all these moments; all the music lovers I've met, nights enjoyed, places seen, faces meet, smiles enjoyed and good energies shared. I've learned so so much about life and people through this great journey.
"Since my first performance I've always strived to to push forward, keep it contemporary — and achieve cultural enlightenment."
